About us

Stay is a charity whose primary role is to provide support and housing for young homeless people in Telford, across a range of services and housing schemes.

Working in partnership with statutory agencies and partners from the voluntary sector, Stay is supporting about 150 young people at any one time. The young people we support have found themselves in a position where they are vulnerable, homeless or with nowhere else to turn. We treat everybody who comes to us as an individual, working with them to overcome any issues that may affect their ability to live independently, assisting them to develop and thrive as individuals.

Our Homelessness Outreach Workers provide valuable support to people actively sleeping on the streets of Telford, ensuring as best we can, their well being is maintained through the provision of emergency food, clothing, warm bedding and additional support at the KiP@Maninplace service.

As well as a provider of services, we also see our role as one in which we challenge perceptions of homelessness and young people in general.

Maninplace is a provider of emergency, temporary, supported and long-term accommodation with intensive housing management services, set up to offer accommodation for people who present as rough sleeping or homeless in the borough of Telford & Wrekin.

Maninplace has developed from its humble beginnings as a community enterprise with 4 bed spaces, into a thriving charitable organisation offering 121 units of accommodation across 22 properties.

Thanks to a dedicated team of housing management workers and support workers, we offer a service that supports and encourages our customers to achieve a healthy, independent lifestyle and sees them being an integrated member of their local community.

We work in partnership with local organisations, charities and support groups to provide a wide network of  support covering many different areas of need.
